Job Context:

Fresh Polymer & Paints Ltd., a concern of Meghna Group of Industries (MGI) is looking for a dynamic and strategic AGM/DGM/GM – Supply Chain to lead and strengthen the overall supply chain operations. The incumbent will be responsible for strategic sourcing, procurement planning, import management, inventory control, supplier development, and cross-functional coordination to ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials, accessories, and packaging materials for polymer, plastic, and paint manufacturing operations. The role will ensure cost optimization, compliance with company policies, and efficient supply chain performance to support business growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supply Chain Strategy & Leadership:

  • Lead and supervise the Supply Chain team to ensure effective coordination, operational efficiency, and achievement of departmental objectives.

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with MGI policies and SOPs to ensure cost-effective procurement and sustainable business growth.

  • Provide SCM insights and operational updates to top management to support strategic decision-making and organizational planning.

  • Participate in business meetings, costing discussions, and SCM coordination sessions to align supply chain activities with overall business strategies.

2. Procurement & Sourcing Management:

  • Manage end-to-end procurement activities for local and international sourcing to ensure timely availability of accessories, packaging materials, and operational supplies.

  • Ensure proper evaluation of comparative statements and supplier quotations to secure competitive pricing and maintain procurement transparency.

  • Lead price negotiations and develop alternative sourcing strategies to reduce procurement costs and mitigate supplier dependency risks.

  • Establish and manage vendor contracts and agreements to ensure legal compliance and long-term supplier reliability.

3. Import & Logistics Coordination:

  • Coordinate with banks, C&F agents, customs, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and insurance providers to ensure smooth import operations and timely material clearance.

  • Handle supplier complaints, quality issues, and reverse logistics to ensure proper resolution of discrepancies and maintain product quality standards.

4. Inventory & Demand Planning:

  • Monitor inventory planning, material movement, and stock levels to optimize inventory turnover and minimize slow-moving or excess stock.

  • Analyze procurement data, supplier performance, and material trends to improve sourcing decisions and support business profitability.

5. Cross-functional Coordination:

  • Collaborate with internal departments including Operations, Production, Finance, Store, and Transport to ensure seamless supply chain operations.

  • Support business units with supply chain insights and operational coordination to improve procurement planning and business performance.

6. Reporting & Performance Management:

  • Prepare monthly SCM performance reports including cost savings, supplier evaluation, and procurement trends to monitor operational performance and improvement opportunities.

  • Support management in developing KPIs for the supply chain department to ensure measurable performance and operational accountability.

  • Develop and monitor KPIs for SCM team members to enhance productivity, performance tracking, and continuous improvement.

7. Team Development & Culture:

  • Promote a performance-driven and collaborative team culture to strengthen employee engagement, accountability, and operational excellence.

  • Design and implement training programs for SCM staff to enhance professional competencies and supply chain expertise.

8. Compliance & Governance:

  • Ensure compliance with ISO, BSTI, and regulatory audit requirements to maintain quality standards and organizational certification.
