• Experience in the execution of civil and interior projects for hotels, thus guaranteeing the delivery of quality projects.

• The ability to work under pressure, good organizational and problem-solving skills, and effective decision-making skills are required when dealing with team members and other stakeholders.

• Project management software and tools; skilled in scheduling and resource management.

• Familiarity with the methods of construction of hotel, materials to be used and the legal requirements of the area.

Job Context

Meghna Hotel and Resorts Limited (MHRL) a concern of Meghna Group of Industries (MGI) is preparing to build a state-of-the-art Five Star Hotel & Resorts and Commercial Building featuring modern and elegant architecture in Dhaka city, Bangladesh. MHRL is looking for the position of Assistant General Manager (AGM) or Deputy General Manager (DGM) for the architecture role for the new hotel construction. This position will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all aspects of architectural design and delivery of services to achieve the highest quality and timely delivery. The AGM/DGM will also report directly to the Project Director of MHRL.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise the architectural sides of the hotel and commercial building project to achieve project goals and objectives and to produce the set project deliverables on time and within the planned time frame.

• Coordinate the architectural designs that are in line with the project objectives to assess design documents, drawings, and specifications to guarantee that the architectural designs meet the legal requirements and standards to produce quality and compliant architectural work.

• Supervise a group of architects, designers, and draftsmen to enhance the group’s productivity, motivation, and efficiency and assist the team members in addressing technical issues to develop a competent group of architects.

• Maintain good communication with the clients, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders, organize and attend meetings and discuss with them about the progress of the project and the design issues or conflicts arising in the project for their resolution.

• Adopt quality assurance measures to ensure quality in architectural work, conduct site reviews to assess the compliance of the architectural designs and ensure compliance with safety measures and standards to deliver quality and safe projects.

• Create and maintain the architectural budget to track costs on the project and determine if costs fall within the designated budget; discover ways of cutting the cost without affecting efficiency and quality to attain optimal financial performance in project management.

• Integrate green and innovative design features into the project, know and apply modern trends and technologies in architecture, and promote environmentally responsible architecture to design a sustainable and innovative architectural project.
