Responsibilities & Context:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Unit Head - Retail Collection to lead and manage the Retail Collection function. The incumbent will be responsible for developing collection strategies, improving portfolio quality, minimizing delinquency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading a high-performing collections team to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Retail Collection strategy aligned with the bank's risk management framework.

• Lead end-to-end collection and recovery activities across retail lending products, including personal loans, auto loans, credit cards, and other retail assets.

• Monitor portfolio performance, delinquency trends, roll rates, and recovery metrics, and implement corrective actions.

• Drive the achievement of collection targets while maintaining customer-centric collection practices.

• Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Bank regulations, internal policies, and industry best practices.

• Lead, coach, and develop collection managers and field teams to improve productivity and performance.

• Collaborate with Risk Management, Legal, Operations, Branch Banking, and Business Units to strengthen recovery initiatives.

• Review and optimize collection policies, SOPs, and operational processes.

• Prepare and present portfolio performance reports and collection MIS to senior management.

• Identify opportunities for process automation and digital collection initiatives.

• Manage external collection agencies, legal recovery partners, and other stakeholders where applicable.
