As a Trainee Merchandiser, you will be part of our dynamic team, where you will learn the essentials of the merchandising process, build a foundation in client relations, and gain hands-on experience in production and sourcing.
∎ Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist in Client Communication:Support senior merchandisers in liaising with clients to understand product specifications, style requirements, and delivery timelines.Facilitate smooth communication between clients and the production team.
∎ Order Coordination and Tracking:Monitor and update order status, ensuring on-time deliveries by coordinating with production and logistics teams.Identify potential delays and proactively communicate issues to senior merchandisers and clients.
∎ Product Development Support:Assist in preparing samples, obtaining client feedback, and making necessary adjustments in consultation with the design and production teams.Learn the processes of fabric and accessory sourcing, working closely with suppliers to maintain quality standards.
∎ Quality Control and Assurance: Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure products meet client specifications and quality standards.· Participate in regular quality checks and inspections to identify and address any product issues.
∎ Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of order details, communications, and timelines.Prepare daily and weekly reports on order status and production milestones for management.
∎ Market Research:Stay updated on fashion trends, materials, and competitive practices in the garments industry to contribute to product development discussions.
∎ Cross-Departmental Collaboration:Work with production, design, quality, and logistics teams to understand the full production process and ensure alignment with client requirements.
