∎ Willing to drive a motorcycle with a valid driving license.
∎ Adequate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, etc.
∎ Excellent spoken and written English language skills.
∎ Willing to travel and work in the most remote Area

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Plan and execute WASH-related activities, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
∎ Conduct assessments to identify WASH needs and prioritize interventions in target communities.
∎ Oversee the installation, maintenance, and operation of water supply systems, sanitation facilities, and hygiene infrastructure.
∎ Facilitate community mobilization sessions to promote hygiene practices and raise awareness about WASH services.
∎ Ensure participation of women, youth, and marginalized groups in all stages of project planning and implementation.
∎ Build relationships with local stakeholders, including community leaders, local government, and service providers.
∎ Train community members, volunteers, and local authorities on WASH systems and practices.
∎ Develop materials and conduct awareness campaigns on hygiene, water safety, and waste management.
∎ Regularly monitor WASH activities to ensure quality and effectiveness.
∎ Prepare progress reports, case studies, and success stories for internal and external stakeholders.
∎ Ensure the project’s WASH interventions align with national standards and best practices.
∎ Collaborate with project teams, including gender, education, and livelihood components, to integrate WASH with broader program goals.
∎ Represent the project in WASH-related forums, networks, and meetings to share experiences and leanings
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Resource Development Foundation (RDF) will implement a project named ‘Transforming Gender Inequality and Ensuring Empowerment for Climate-induced Displaced People in Urban Slum’ at Barishal from 01 January 2025 to 31 December 2027 funded by Climate Bridge Fund (CBF) with financial support from the Government of Germany through KfW, and BRAC. This project will be implemented in the slum areas of Barishal City Corporation. To implement the project, RDF invites applications from the competent and qualified persons for the following position.
∎ The Technical Officer– WASH will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) interventions to enhance the well-being of climate-induced displaced communities in urban slums. The role focuses on addressing gender inequalities and ensuring inclusive and sustainable access to WASH services, empowering vulnerable populations, particularly women and children.
