Qualifications and Experience:
Master’s degree in Public Health, Reproductive Health, Gender Studies, Social Science, Medicine, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of direct technical experience in SRHR programming within NGOs/INGOs, public health systems, or research institutions.
Strong expertise in adolescent SRHR, AYFHS, gender-transformative programming, and GBV prevention.Proven experience in developing training modules, IEC/BCC materials, and technical guidelines.
Experience with national SRHR standards, DGFP/DGHS systems, and rights-based approaches.
Demonstrated ability to conduct trainings, mentoring, and supportive supervision.
Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills in Bangla and English.
Experience working in hard-to-reach or rural areas (e.g., chars, coastal areas) is an added advantage.
Major Responsibilities
Provide high-level technical expertise, strategic guidance, and quality assurance for all SRHR interventions under the project.
Develop technical tools, training content, guidelines, and protocols aligned with national and global SRHR standards.
Support the Project Manager and field team to ensure evidence-based planning, implementation, and monitoring of SRHR activities.
Strengthen collaboration with government health departments (DGHS, DGFP), NGOs/INGOs, service providers, and community structures to enhance technical quality and sustainability of SRHR interventions.
Specific Job Responsibilities
1. Technical Leadership and Guidance
Provide continuous technical support on SRHR topics including adolescent sexual health, contraceptive use, menstrual hygiene, gender equality, GBV mitigation, and rights-based service delivery.
Ensure project strategies, approaches, and materials adhere to WHO, DGFP, DGHS, and donor technical standards.
Review, update, and contextualize IEC/BCC materials, training curricula, and community intervention packages.
Advise field teams on complex SRHR cases, referral pathways, and technical troubleshooting.
2. Capacity Building and Mentorship
Conduct training-of-trainers (TOT), orientations, and refresher training for project staff, peer educators, community facilitators, and partner organizations.
Build the technical capacity of health service providers on adolescent and youth-friendly health services (AYFHS), counseling skills, gender-transformative approaches, and safeguarding.
Provide structured mentoring, coaching, and supportive supervision to ensure high-quality delivery of SRHR interventions.
3. Quality Assurance and Standards Compliance
Develop and implement robust quality assurance mechanisms for community sessions, counseling, referrals, and service delivery.
Conduct regular quality monitoring visits, using checklists, observation tools, and assessment frameworks.
Ensure compliance with donor guidelines, national SRHR standards, safeguarding policies, and gender protocols.
Provide feedback and corrective action plans for continuous improvement.
4. Technical Support in Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation
Support the PM in developing technically sound work plans, indicators, and budgets.
Provide technical input into monitoring frameworks, tools, and data quality assurance processes.
Analyze SRHR data and generate insights to strengthen program decision-making.
Contribute to research initiatives, assessments, and evaluations related to SRHR outcomes.
5. Stakeholder Engagement and Coordination
Serve as a technical focal person for government line departments (DGHS, DGFP), Upazila and District Health Offices, and SRHR technical working groups.
Participate in coordination meetings, technical forums, and policy dialogues at local and national levels.
Support partnership management with hospitals, clinics, schools, youth clubs, community leaders, and private sector health providers.
6. Advocacy and Knowledge Generation
Lead technical advocacy efforts for strengthening SRHR services and rights for adolescents, youth, and women.
Engage community influencers, religious leaders, and local authorities with evidence-based SRHR messages.
Document technical learnings, case studies, research briefs, and innovation notes to disseminate across platforms.
7. Emergency and Humanitarian SRHR Response
Provide technical leadership in integrating SRHR priorities into emergency response (MHM, GBV mitigation, safe spaces for adolescents, and service continuity).
Coordinate with humanitarian clusters and local authorities during disaster or crisis situations.
8. Other Responsibilities
Undertake field visits, technical meetings, and capacity-building workshops as needed.
Perform any other technical assignments requested by the Senior Coordinator (SRHR) or management.
