Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Implementation:
Prepare monthly and quarterly activity plans in coordination with the Project Manager.
Ensure timely and quality implementation of all project activities according to approved work plans and budgets.
Coordinate with local government representatives, community leaders, and relevant stakeholders to facilitate project activities.
Community Mobilization and Capacity Building:
Organize and facilitate Project Orientation Workshops for stakeholders and community representatives.
Conduct Community-Based Awareness Sessions to increase knowledge and engagement among beneficiaries.
Mobilize communities and encourage participation in project activities.
Advocacy and Stakeholder Engagement:
Organize and facilitate Union-Level Advocacy Meetings with local government bodies, service providers, and community leaders.
Maintain effective communication and collaboration with government departments, NGOs, and other relevant stakeholders.
Support advocacy initiatives to promote food security and community development objectives.
Food Bank and Committee Management:
Facilitate and monitor Friendship Food Committee meetings.
Support committee members in planning and implementing Food Bank-related activities.
Coordinate the purchase and distribution of food contributions for Food Bank top-ups in accordance with project guidelines.
Maintain proper records and documentation related to Food Bank operations.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting:
Support baseline, end-line, and other evaluation activities.
Assist in data collection, verification, and documentation processes.
Prepare activity reports, meeting minutes, case studies, and success stories.
Maintain project databases and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Financial and Administrative Support:
Assist in budget monitoring and activity-related expenditures.
Verify bills, vouchers, and supporting documents for project activities.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements.
Other Responsibilities:
Conduct regular field visits to monitor project progress and provide technical support.
Identify challenges and recommend appropriate solutions for effective project implementation.
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor to support project objectives.
Skill and Competencies:
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Development Studies, Public Administration, Rural Development, Nutrition, Agriculture, or a related field.
A master’s degree will be considered an advantage.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in community development, food security, livelihood, or related development projects.
Experience in organizing community meetings, advocacy events, and stakeholder engagement activities will be preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of project management, monitoring, and reporting.
Ability to work effectively with local government institutions and community groups.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to travel extensively in project working areas.
Commitment to teamwork, accountability, and community empowerment.
