Responsible for:
Mobilizing girls and adolescent female participants from both Rohingya and host communities to engage regularly in sports, recreational, and awareness activities.
Building positive and trust-based relationships with female participants to ensure their sustained, confident, and active engagement in project activities.
Identifying and documenting barriers affecting girls’ participation and reporting challenges to project management for timely intervention and resolution.
Supporting the organization and facilitation of girls-only activities where culturally appropriate to encourage teamwork, leadership, discipline, and personal development.
Maintaining a safe, respectful, inclusive, and child-friendly environment for all participants, including girls and children with disabilities, in line with safeguarding and gender-sensitive standards.
Supporting the organization and supervision of regular sports practice sessions, friendly matches, and recreational games for girls while ensuring safe, inclusive, and culturally appropriate participation.
Monitoring participant behavior and reporting any protection concerns, harassment, discrimination, or safeguarding incidents immediately according to project protocols.
Conducting awareness sessions on nutrition, hygiene, menstrual health, gender equality, child rights, environmental awareness, and the importance of education.
Maintaining accurate attendance records, participant information, and activity documentation while coordinating closely with trainers, MSL staff, and project supervisors.
Maintaining effective coordination and collaboration with project partners, community stakeholders, and relevant local actors to support the smooth implementation of activities.
Performing any other project-related responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Activities:
Registering participants and maintaining updated attendance sheets and participant information records.
Conducting door-to-door visits and community outreach to encourage girls and adolescent females to participate in project activities.
Meeting with parents, guardians, teachers, majhis, imams, and community leaders to build awareness and acceptance of girls’ participation in sports.
Organizing and supporting sports tournaments, friendly matches, and community sports events for girls while ensuring active field presence, participant engagement, and smooth coordination of activities.
Conducting football, cricket, badminton, and volleyball practice sessions, games, and friendly matches for girls and adolescent participants.
Conducting awareness sessions on hygiene, menstrual health, nutrition, child rights, gender equality, environmental awareness, and education.
Identifying vulnerable, absent, or at-risk participants and reporting concerns to supervisors and safeguarding focal points.
Monitoring participant behavior and reporting any safeguarding, protection, harassment, or discrimination concerns according to project procedures.
Coordinating daily activities with trainers, MSL staff, project officers, and other project team members.
Preparing and submitting regular field updates, activity summaries, attendance records, and incident reports to supervisors.
Skill and Competencies:
Fluency in Bangla required.
Knowledge of Rohingya/Chittagonian dialects will be considered an advantage.
Basic English communication skills preferred.
Must have completed a Master’s degree in Social Sciences or a relevant discipline, with a strong understanding of community development and social behavior dynamics.
