Job Context

We are looking for a highly experienced Technical Head – Sample to lead and manage our sample department. The position requires strong technical expertise in garment construction, product development, and sample management.

The selected candidate will be responsible for planning, controlling, and monitoring all sample development activities and will act as the final technical approval authority before submitting samples to buyers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the entire sample department.

• Ensure timely development and submission of all types of samples (Proto, Fit, Size Set, PP Sample, etc.).

• Review and approve all samples technically before submission to buyers.

• Analyze tech packs, buyer comments, and specifications to ensure accurate sample development.

• Provide technical guidance to pattern masters, sample operators, and related teams.

• Ensure proper fit, construction, workmanship, and finishing according to buyer requirements.

• Coordinate closely with merchandising, production, and quality teams for smooth sample execution.

• Monitor sample quality, productivity, and department performance.

• Identify technical issues and provide effective solutions during sample development.

• Ensure proper documentation and tracking of all sample stages.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.

• Additional professional training in garment technology will be an advantage.

Experience Requirements

• 10–15 years of experience in garment manufacturing or buying house.

• Minimum 5 years in a senior technical or sample development leadership role.

• Strong experience in handling woven.

• Proven experience managing sample room operations and technical approvals.

Additional Requirements

• Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, fitting, and technical evaluation.

• Ability to interpret technical packages and buyer specifications.

• Excellent leadership and team management skills.

• Strong problem-solving ability related to garment production and sampling.

• Good communication skills in English and Bengali.
