Job Context

We are looking for a skilled CAD Specialist with strong experience in garment pattern making and marker planning using CAD software. The selected candidate will support the technical and sample development team by preparing accurate patterns, size grading, and efficient markers to ensure proper fit and optimum fabric utilization.

Job Responsibilities

• Create and develop garment patterns using CAD software based on buyer specifications and tech packs.

• Perform pattern grading for different sizes according to measurement specifications.

• Prepare marker planning to ensure optimum fabric consumption and reduce wastage.

• Support the sample development process by providing accurate digital patterns.

• Make pattern adjustments based on fit comments and buyer feedback.

• Coordinate with pattern makers, sample team, and production teams to ensure pattern accuracy.

• Maintain proper pattern libraries and digital records for styles and revisions.

• Analyze marker efficiency and continuously improve fabric utilization.

• Ensure patterns meet production feasibility and garment construction requirements.

• Assist technical team during product development and pre-production stages.

Educational Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree.

• Professional training in CAD pattern making software will be an advantage.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3-6 years of experience working as a CAD Operator / CAD Specialist in the garments industry.

• Experience working with garment pattern development and marker making.

Additional Requirements

• Proficiency in CAD software such as Optitex, Lectra, or similar systems.

• Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and grading rules.

• Knowledge of fabric consumption and marker efficiency.

• Ability to work with buyer tech packs and measurement charts.

• Good coordination and communication skills with technical and sample teams.
