Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma in Medical Technology
Job Responsibilities:
∎ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure TB testing and follow up of collected sputum samples by microscopy/ Genexpert
∎ Sample collection and testing of Covid-19 suspect by antigen test/ Genexpert
∎ HIV testing among TB patients and high risk population
∎ Blood test of malaria suspects in the malaria endemic areas
∎ Massage dissemination and build community awareness related to TB, Malaria, HIV and Covid-19
∎ (use of mask and encouraging for taking vaccine)
∎ Maintain essential safety precautions during sputum collection, while working in the lab and
∎ concerning disposal of potentially infectious materials
∎ Assure proper storage and regular supply of cartridge, reagents, logistics, and other materials
∎ Conduct Outreach center and collect sample from the TB presumptive
∎ Carry out routine follow up and notify any need for maintenance in coordination with the
∎ management unit
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Practice and promote BRAC Gender Policy. Support implementation of gender equality
∎ and women empowerment at all levels.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members
∎ and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place,
∎ encourage others to do so
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 18 years
∎ Knowledge in AFB microscopy/ Xpert MTB RIF, light and LED microscope
∎ Professional Experience on sample collection technique of HIV and Covid-19 and
∎ testing
∎ Computer proficiency in MS Word and Excel, internet browsing, email.
∎ Capable to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
∎ Excellent in working in team and excellent report writing skills
∎ Excellent Communication and Coordination skill s
∎ Good in Time management and Analytical ability
