Duties & Responsibilities of a Tailoring Tailor-

· Design fabrics . Tailors use their understanding of fabric construction to create new clothing and fabrics. ...

· Record measurements

· Mark alterations

· Sew fabrics

· Conduct market research

· Seamstresses are often considered a female version of a tailor, and can also create their own patterns, and create a piece from concept right through to delivery of a wearable fabric. A tailor's duties and responsibilities may include: Sewing and measuring clothing. Designing and creating clothes from scratch for a customer, such as suits, jackets, blazers, pants and more.
