- Knowledge of Internet protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP)Expertise in physical layer technologies (Optical, SDH, PDH, DWDM, Radio Link)
- Strong understanding of layer-2 and layer-3 networks Proficiency in MPLS, OSPF, BGP, ISIS, VTP, Spanning Tree Protocol Experience with DNS, Proxy, DHCP, Web Servers, MySQL, FTP Server, MRTG, Mail Servers in Linux/Windows Knowledge of SNMP, Netflow, and related protocols with SSL/IPSec VPNs ability
- Experience in networking organizations (ISP/IIG/Telco) in relevant roles
- Relevant certifications (MCSE, JNCIA, JNCIS-SEC, CCNA, CCNP, CCIP, CCSP) are highly desirable
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Energetic and capable of working with minimal supervision
Responsibilities & Context:
Provide expert guidance on network engineering and administration.
Analyze, design, install, and configure network infrastructure.
Integrate new services and support network expansion.
Conduct risk assessments and recommend security enhancements.
Resolve issues and report findings with staff and customers.
Document procedures and analysis findings.
Coordinate with departments on customer and network issues.
Assist in deploying network devices.
Collaborate with clients, vendors, and site staff for maintenance.
Monitor, tune, and report on network performance.
