Job Responsibilities:
∎ Deploy, administer and operate Linux and Windows server platforms that hosts various applications, services and databases specially web applications and MySQL.
∎ Deploy, administer and operate network infrastructure including routing and switching platforms.
∎ Deploy, administer and operate security platforms including network firewalls, application firewalls, IPS, host firewalls etc.
∎ Deploy, administer and operate virtual and cloud infrastructure specially VMWare and AWS.
∎ Deploy, administer and operate SIEM, other logging solutions and security tools.
∎ Deploy, administer and operate backup platform.
∎ Maintain IT Security Compliance requirements.
∎ Deploy DR infrastructure and maintain DR operation.
∎ Design, deploy, administer and operate high availability and scalability for various systems.
∎ Proactively monitor physical infrastructure components to ensure health and mitigate malfunction.
∎ Perform troubleshooting activities for any reported issues.
∎ Closely work with Operation, security, compliance and engineering teams to resolve system issues and maintain up-time of infrastructure.
∎ Maintain documentation of deployments, operational activities and incidents.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Practical experience to work in core infrastructure with similar job roles in a reputed organization having medium or large infrastructure.
∎ Solid understanding of server operating systems including Linux and Windows servers, application servers and relational database servers.
∎ Ability to deploy, administer and manage server platforms and related computing environments, including computer hardware, operating systems, other system software, application software and databases.
∎ Solid understanding on network infrastructure and its components including routing and switching technologies and ability to deploy, administer and operate them.
∎ Solid understanding on virtualization and cloud computing and ability to deploy, administer and operate them.
∎ Solid understanding on security infrastructure including network firewall, application firewall, access management, host firewall etc. and ability to deploy, administer and operate them.
∎ Solid understanding of high availability and scalability across network, server and security platforms and ability to deploy them.
∎ Solid understanding on disaster recovery and business continuity concepts and technologies and ability to implement them.
∎ Ability to identify malfunctions and troubleshoot them.
∎ Solid Understanding on storage infrastructure including SAN, NAS and DAS.
∎ Solid understanding on IT Security compliances, benchmarks and guidelines.
∎ Solid understanding on security assessment concepts including but not limited to vulnerability assessment, penetration testing etc. and ability to use tools to identify risks and implement remediations.
∎ Practical experience to work in core infrastructure in a reputed organization having medium or large infrastructure.
∎ Leadership skills
∎ Candidates having valid Vendor Certifications i.e. CCNP, RHCE, MCSA, MCSE, VCP, CEH etc. will have preference.
∎ Strong communication skills.
