Experience:

• 5 to 8 years

• Bachelor/Honors

• A Bachelor degree from a reputed University;

• 5 to 8 years

• Must have relevant experience of working for reputed local/multinational construction companies in the procurement/business development department;
• The ideal candidate would have minimum 5-8 years of experience of supply chain management for materials, suppliers, equipment and subcontractors for at least 3 large-scale infrastructure projects; such as, road and bridge, water treatment plant, airport, terminal/port projects;
• Must have professional contacts with a large pool of suppliers and sub- contractors in the construction industry. Candidates are requested to show documents outlining contacts during the interview;
• Must have knowledge of opening LC/LCA for imported items;
• Proficiency in M/S Excel;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Strong price negotiation skills.

In line with the expansion of activities of the CHEC team, we are looking for a Supply Chain Officer with suitable experience to join the Business Development Department.

Responsibilities:

International Trade & Procurement:

• Managing end-to-end international procurement of construction materials; including sourcing, contract negotiation and purchase order execution.
• Ensuring compliance with global trade regulations, customs clearance procedures and company policies.

Local Supply Chain & Logistics:

• Sourcing potential vendors, sub-contractors and suppliers for construction materials, construction work and equipment from both domestic and international markets for bidding purpose;
• Analyzing technical specification and employer’s requirements to determine the materials’ requirement after getting purchase requisition;
• Building a procurement and bid strategy, including the setup of inter-department frameworks to support the Cost Department during bidding period.
• Collecting quotation from different vendors, sub-contractors, suppliers and creating comparative statement (CS) with the price;
• Preparing RFQ (Request for Quotation), PR (Purchase Requisition), PO (Purchase Order) against requisition;
• Negotiating the best possible deal for pricing, quality and other terms and conditions with the suppliers and vendors;
• Preparing related documents to open LC/LCA for imported items;
• Maintaining, updating and managing all the supplier and subcontractor profiles on the CCCC Supply Chain management server;
• Visiting and traveling for developing sources, improving coordination among suppliers, building strong professional relationships with new and existing suppliers;
• Monitoring and cross-checking materials’ rate from real market sources and other companies;
• Evaluating vendor performance based on cost, quality and delivery and developing plans to improve supplier performance;
• Any other job as and when assigned by the management;
• Drafting and negotiating with suppliers/subcontractors for contract details.
