Additional Requirements: - 7–12+ years’ experience in supply chain management in textile/dyeing/weaving manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge in procurement, MRP, inventory control, import logistics, and supply planning.
- Mandatory: Ability to manage digital transactions on TextileGenesis and other traceability/certification platforms (GOTS, OCS, RCS, BCI, ZDHC, Higg, etc.).
- Experience in sustainable raw material management (organic, recycled, BCI).
- Proficiency in ERP systems, Excel, and analytical tools.
- Strong negotiation, coordination, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple critical deadlines.
Responsibilities & Context: Job Summary: We are looking for a highly capable Supply Chain Manager to lead our end-to-end supply chain operations in a modern textile manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in procurement, planning, inventory, logistics, import coordination, and—most importantly—digital traceability platforms for certified raw materials.
This role requires the ability to handle supply chain activities across various certification ecosystems such as TextileGenesis, GOTS, OCS, RCS, BCI, Higg FEM/FSLM, ZDHC, and other sustainability traceability platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Raw Material Procurement & Vendor Management
- Source yarn, chemicals, dyes, trims, packaging, and consumables from qualified suppliers.
- Evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and sustainability compliance.
- Negotiate and finalize contracts and long-term supply agreements.
Production Planning & MRP
- Create accurate material requirement plans based on dyeing/weaving/finishing schedules.
- Coordinate with Marketing, Planning, R&D, Production to ensure readiness of raw materials.
- Maintain shortage reports, buffer stock control, and material lead-time management.
Inventory & Warehouse Management
- Oversee raw materials, chemicals, finished goods, and spare parts inventory.
- Implement FIFO, safety stock, and re-order level systems.
- Optimize storage, chemical safety, and compliance with EHS standards.
Logistics, Delivery & Import Coordination
- Coordinate import shipments with Commercial team (LC, documents, HS code, freight).
- Ensure timely inbound/outbound logistics and delivery to production & customers.
- Optimize transportation cost and ensure proper dispatch planning.
Traceability, Sustainability & Certification Transaction Management (IMPORTANT)
- Manage transactions across digital traceability and sustainability certification platforms such as TextileGenesis, GOTS, OCS, RCS, BCI, ZDHC Gateway, Higg, and brand-specific traceability systems.
- Ensure all raw materials are properly uploaded, verified, and matched with purchase orders and shipments.
- Maintain chain-of-custody records and supplier compliance for traceable raw materials (organic cotton, recycled polyester, BCI cotton, etc.).
- Coordinate with buyers, certification bodies, and suppliers for digital token transfers and material registry.
- Ensure complete transparency and traceability for global buyer audits.
Cost Optimization & Process Improvement
- Analyze procurement cost, consumption, wastage, and process inefficiencies.
- Implement automated supply chain systems and ERP-based processes.
- Continuously improve lead-times, supplier performance, and internal workflows.
Cross-Department Collaboration
- Work closely with Dyeing, Finishing, QA/QC, Marketing, Accounts, and Commercial teams.
- Ensure raw materials for sample, bulk, and R&D trials are always available.
- Highlight supply chain risks early and propose mitigation plans.
