Responsibilities & Context:

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager with strong expertise in import, export, LC handling, customs documentation, and incentive withdrawal for the textile industry.

The candidate must have in-depth knowledge of Bangladesh Bank regulations, customs processes, EPB/BTMA documentation, Bond rules, HS codes, and international trade practices.

The role requires excellent coordination with banks, customs, shipping lines, freight forwarders, C&F agents, and internal production/merchandising teams, ensuring smooth commercial operations.

Key Responsibilities

Import Commercial Operations

  • Manage full import process: LC opening, LC amendment, TT payments, bank negotiation.
  • Follow-up with suppliers, freight forwarders & shipping agents for timely shipment.
  • Handle HS code classification, PI scrutiny, INCOTerms verification, insurance requirements.
  • Ensure on-time custom clearance through C&F agents.
  • Maintain all import-related documentation as per audit & compliance standards.

Export Commercial Operations

  • Prepare and manage UD, GSP, EXP, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, BTMA certificates.
  • Coordinate with EPB, customs & bank for EXP approval & negotiation.
  • Ensure accuracy of export documentation for dyeing/finishing fabric supply (local export or deemed export).
  • Maintain export reconciliation and shipment-wise file closing.

Incentive / Cash Assistance / Bond Management

  • Prepare files for cash incentive withdrawal, including:
  • EXP
  • UD utilization
  • BTMA certificates
  • EPB documentation
  • Production & delivery proof
  • Maintain regular follow-up with banks for receiving incentives.
  • Ensure compliance with Bond license rules for raw material import & utilization.
  • Prepare annual bond consumption reports & manage bond audits.

Banking & Compliance Coordination

  • Liaise with banks for LC, incentive, EXP, import bills, and loan documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Bank guidelines, customs policy, VAT/Tax rules.
  • Maintain shipment & LC tracking sheet with weekly reporting to management.

Internal Communication & Reporting

  • Work closely with procurement, merchandising, accounts, and production teams.
  • Maintain well-organized commercial files for internal & external audits.
  • Provide management with weekly and monthly commercial performance reports.
