∎ At least 3 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Independently execute Knit/Woven product development, understand latest fashion trends, source new yarns and develop customer specific collections
∎ Ensure smooth communications with customers and suppliers on day to day merchandising activities and approvals
∎ Continuously update the fabrics, trims, print embroideries, washes and stitch library including technical data and price idea for easy reference
∎ Understand customer requirements and closely work with design team to manage the correct samples within time and quality.
∎ Can manage all kinds of yarns, fabrics & accessories both from local and foreign sources as required to develop samples and production upon confirmed orders.
∎ Responsible for proper follow-up and committed with the time line given by buyers to execute shipment.
∎ Prepare costing sheets with all the necessary breakdowns from factories
∎ Arrange lab dip, trims, bulk fabric color, and quality testing for customer approval
∎ Work closely with the fabric mills and suppliers ahead of design packs to develop new fabrics and finishes to reduce lead time
∎ Follow-up TNA on regular basis to ensure on-time delivery with right quality and quantity
∎ Visit factories regularly to get market intelligence
∎ Must be technically sound on fabric quality, consumption, pricing.
∎ Coordinate and monitor quality of the product through quality personnel
∎ Be able to bring in new orders to keep all sewing lines functional round the year.
∎ Good communication skills with buyer and supplier.
∎ Understanding of buyer requirement and guidelines.
∎ Any other responsibilities assigned by the management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 32 to 40 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ At least 3 years' merchandising experience in a reputed buying office or factory in Knit/Woven category
∎ Must be knowledgeable of garments construction and costing, specifically Knit/Woven fabric properties, fabric printing, and surface applications
∎ Must have extensive experience of product development, sourcing of materials, costing, production tracking and execution of orders independently
∎ Should have excellent understanding of technical / production process
∎ Must be capable to handle buyers independently in tremendous pressure with aggressive marketing attitude
∎ Should have ideas about effective communication for raw materials booking and delivery
∎ Strong presentation and delivery skills
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication both in Bangla and English
∎ IT proficiency - advance level skill is a MUST in MS Office package (Especially PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook)
∎ Ability to multitask and remain organized, meet deadlines
