Responsibilities & Context:
The position requires close coordination with buyers, factories, and internal departments to ensure adherence to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards. The incumbent will also support audits, data collection, certification processes, and continuous improvement programs to promote sustainable business practices across operations.
Brief JD :
- ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 Standards Implementation.
- Identifying & implementing ENERGY / WATER efficient opportunities.
- Facilitating Rooftop Solar, Energy Attribute Certification (EACs).
- Ensure sustainable chemical management system (CMS) to support worker safety and reduce environmental impacts.
- Selection of right chemicals, Risk Assessment for chemical products, textile process control & traceability.
- Monitoring Wastewater Treatment Technology (MBBR ETP).
- Liaising with Regulatory Bodies (DoE, BERC, Boiler Office, DC Office, Explosive Department etc.)
- Identifying point / fugitive emissions sources & abatement processes to mitigate them.
- Sourcing sustainable disposal available route of hazardous waste and integrate possible circular economy.
- Self-assessment tools - HiGG Index, ICS, H&M Performance Data etc.
- Compliance & production certification process like ISO 14001, ISO 45001, GOTS, GRS, RCS, OCS, OekoTex 100 standard, STeP, Cradle to Cradle etc.
- Sustainability requirements of H&M, Inditex, Promod, Primark, etc.
