Responsibilities & Context:
  • Analyze and monitor the labor productivity of the factory and sewing lines. Estimate the line capacity for all new development styles based on garment sketch or samples. 
  • Provide accurate estimated labor cost (CMT) and productivity to the merchandising department.
  • Making and approving OBs is one of the main tasks. Releasing style OB, line layout and thread consumption chart for line(s) to be done based on scheduled plan.
  • Conduct regular audits of the factory and lines to ensure the operation bulletin and line layout are followed by line supervisor.
  • Prepare monthly machinery requirement.
  • Analyze the Group Standard Minute Value (SMV) .
  • Follow up study (operator who is all not achieving the target / capacity.)
  • Support the development of multi-skill operators and maintain a skill matrix record.
  • List out low efficiency operator and monitor to improve their efficiency.
  • Monitoring and line balancing – Based on capacity in the line.
  • Assist Supervisors and line chief in managing line balancing during period of high absenteeism of operator.
  • Expected the candidate would be interested in working on new projects if any and suggesting advanced techniques in garment manufacturing.
  • Conduct research and explore new machinery and latest systems that meets companies long term goal and preparing cost benefits analysis and ROI for the same.
  • Conduct research and development for samples before production begins.
