Experience:
MBBS/MPH, Other Public Health degree, or a related discipline from a reputed university or institute.
Certification or short course in Adult Learning and Facilitation Techniques, humanitarian capacity development, Curriculum and Instructional Design, Behaviour Change Communication (BCC), or Community Mobilization will be an added advantage.
KNOWLEDGE:
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and participatory training methods.
• Understanding of humanitarian education, health, WASH, and safeguarding in displacement contexts.
• Familiarity with the operational and cultural environment of Rohingya camps and host communities.

The Specialist, Capacity Building & Training will design, develop, and implement training programs to enhance the capacity of Learning Centre teachers, project staff, and community groups in WASH, Health, and Safeguarding. The role includes preparing training materials, facilitating sessions, and managing logistics to ensure effective knowledge transfer. The position will also strengthen camp teams’ operational capacity to deliver integrated, efficient services aligned with project goals. Strong expertise in public health, Health–WASH integration, and disease prevention is essential.
Training Design and Content Development:
• Develop and regularly update training materials on WASH, Health, and Safeguarding, tailored to the needs of Learning Centre teachers.
• Localize and simplify technical content for practical classroom application by both Rohingya and host community teachers.
• Collaborate with technical experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of training content.
• Adapt materials on health-seeking behavioral challenges, disease prevention initiatives based on participant literacy levels and cultural sensitivities.
Training Delivery and Capacity Strengthening:
• Facilitate structured training sessions and refresher workshops for Learning Centre teachers in both host and camp settings.
• Provide orientation and technical guidance to ensure teachers can effectively deliver messages to learners to promote a healthy lifestyle among the learners
• Facilitate regular in-person training sessions for BRAC staff and volunteers at the camp level on integrated roles and service delivery.
• Monitor trainee performance through observation and follow-up support to reinforce knowledge in the classroom.
Monitoring, Coordination, and Support:
• Maintain training attendance records, pre/post-assessments, and feedback documentation.
• Coordinate with Education and Health teams to ensure thematic consistency in messages being delivered.
• Manage the roster of health staff who will perform health check-ups in the learning centers
• Prepare brief training reports and share updates with supervisor.
• Assist in organizing training venues, materials, and logistics in coordination with admin/logistics teams.
Safeguarding Implementation:
• Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
