Education:

• Masters

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Development Studies, Climate Change, Social Sciences or related field.

Age:

• 45 years (Age limited may be relaxed for candidates with more experience.)

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, research and learning in development programs.
• Experience designing and implementing M&E systems for child and youth empowerment, climate adaptation, DRR and community resilience projects.
• Strong skills in indicator development, data quality assurance, impact assessment and learning documentation.
• Experience conducting baseline, midline and end line surveys, as well as real-time monitoring.
• Proficiency in digital data collection tools and data visualization platforms.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate evidence into program improvement.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical, research and writing skills both Bangla & English.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work under pressure.
• Strong understanding on MEAL framework to track progress and measure results
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency SPSS, KOBO Collect, POWER BI, GIS or equivalent software is an added advantage.
• Ability to produce short videos, reels and visual stories for social media, websites and campaigns.

Project Name: Children & Youth Leading Inclusive Movements for Adaptation, Transformation & Environmental Resilience (CLIMATE).

Duration: Approximately 03 (Three) years. 

Location: Zanjira Upazila, Shariatpur

Reporting To : Project Manager (Dotted line with Assistant Coordinator - Program)

SDS (Shariatpur Development Society) is a Bangladesh-based non-governmental organization founded in 1991 and formally registered with the Department of Social Welfare (1992), the NGO Affairs Bureau (1993) and the Microcredit Regulatory Authority (2008). SDS received its first foreign funding in 1994 and established a long-standing partnership with PKSF in 1996. Working primarily in climate-vulnerable areas, SDS addresses climate change-induced vulnerabilities, disaster risks and structural poverty through participatory, inclusive and accountable approaches. SDS has experience working with institutional donors including UNDP, UNICEF, WFP, UN Women, FAO, IOM, CARE, Islamic Relief and START Network members and is actively engaged in national, regional and global networks such as CANSA, GNDR, NEAR, INAFI, APWLD and Girls Not Brides. The Monitoring & Evaluation Officer will design and implement the project’s MEAL framework to track progress, measure results and support evidence-based decision-making. The position is dedicated to ensure program quality. The role will ensure quality data collection, learning documentation and reporting on climate adaptation, DRR and youth leadership outcomes. The position will also promote learning, accountability and adaptive management by generating insights for program improvement.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the project M&E framework/plan (20%)
• Collect, validate, analyze and manage quantitative and qualitative data (20%)
• Support baseline and end line surveys and issue based assessments (15%)
• Contribute to donor reports with evidence, analysis and results tracking (15%)
• Document lessons learned, best practices and case studies (10%)
• Support accountability, feedback and learning mechanisms (10%)
• Arrange and document learning events (10%)

Salary and Benefits: Monthly grows salary BDT: 45,000 and others facilities will be available as per project budget.
