  • At least 3 years (special consideration for the member of the court clerk association)·      

  • Capacity to work independently and under pressure.·      

  • Good computer knowledge, especially in MS Word, Excel, and also should be good at email communication.



Responsibilities & Context:
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities under direct supervision, instruction, direction, and control of the Staff Lawyer/Unit coordinator.               

  • Provide support to lawyers in preparing petitions and filing cases, e.g., collecting vokalatnama and other necessary documents from clients, photocopying, and submitting petitions to the filing section of the court.

  • Maintain case records/files according to the case number and preserve all necessary & relevant documents of the case.          

  • Assist the advocate and the advocate’s clerk at Court to conduct the case.           

  • Track case progress and inform the concerned lawyer regarding the next step and next court date.

  • Collect the case-related information/case docket from the concerned court/police station and provide it to the respective lawyer. 

  • Assist the justice seekers in obtaining the legal remedy from the respective police station and court.                

  • Maintain regular contact with clients, the panel lawyer’s assistant.                

  • Maintain liaison with the GRO sections, Police station, District Legal Aid Office, and Prison for collecting the case-related information.     

  • Maintain court diary, central registers, and update the case file/record as guided by supervisor.           

  • Assist in organizing and participating in different meetings, training, and workshops as required

  • Prepare the pending case report and update the relevant lawyer to take the necessary steps.             

  • Develop good relationships with the District Legal Aid Office and do regular follow-up about the status of referred cases.             

  • Carry out other activities as and when required by the project management.
