Bachelor`s degree in Political Science, Social Science, Economics, Urban Planning, Development Studies, Statistics or any other related discipline.
Professional Experience
3 years of relevant occupational experience in monitoring, reporting and knowledge management.
Other knowledge, additional competences
Understanding data protection and confidentiality principles, experience with data management will be an asset
Ability to work well under pressure and must be a strong team player
Excellent writing and editing skills; good interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written
Fluent in English and Bangla (oral and written)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, hands-on experience with digital data systems, and familiarity with various communication tools and modern IT systems
Familiarity with development cooperation and its operational context, preferably in the field of climate change and urban development
Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities in a dynamic work environment.
Ability to work effectively in an intercultural environment.

GIZ in Bangladesh is currently seeking applications for the position of “Junior Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist” from candidates for ‘Innovations for Climate-smart Urban Development (INCLUDE)’ project.
Contract Duration: Until December 2027.

A. The position holder is responsible for the following tasks
Tasks
Participating in processes related to data collection, maintaining contacts and building networks, preparing, managing and assuring the quality of any evaluation missions
Processing the monitoring data for the purpose of project steering and preparing internal and external reports and communications of the project Innovations for Climate-smart Urban Development (INCLUDE)
Setting up, structuring and maintaining the knowledge management system, and analysing results and lessons learned
Acting as the PR focal point for the project, coordinating with PR teams at the cluster and country office levels to ensure compliance with GIZ PR guidelines across all project outputs.
Supporting the organization of events and workshops of the project, including logistical and technical aspects.
Actively participating in team meetings, sharing timely and relevant updates on the ongoing implementation progress.
Maintaining effective liaison with outsourced firms, consultants, and grant recipients to ensure all project-related events (including training, workshop seminar, exposure visit) meet expected quality and standards
Undertake any other activities assigned by the supervisor.
