Context

• The role is based in a woven garments manufacturing environment.
• The mechanic will work closely with sewing operators, supervisors, and production managers to ensure machines remain fully operational.
• Requires hands-on work, problem-solving under pressure, and the ability to adapt to different machine brands/models.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform installation, adjustment, and maintenance of sewing machines used in woven garments production.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults in sewing equipment.
• Ensure smooth machine operation by performing routine lubrication, cleaning, and calibration.
• Set and adjust machines according to different fabric types, sewing styles, and production requirements.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize machine downtime and production loss.
• Support operators by providing quick troubleshooting during production runs.
• Maintain records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and spare parts usage.
• Follow safety standards and ensure a clean, hazard-free working environment.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure consistent product quality.
