Job Context:
∎ Organisation Description: BLAST is a leading national legal aid and human rights organisation in Bangladesh providing legal advice, mediation, and litigation services, and undertaking advocacy to ensure the rights of women, men and children living in poverty or facing discrimination/social exclusion throughout the country. BLAST works through its Head Office in Dhaka and 25 District-level Offices with a network of panel lawyers and partner organisations.
∎ Project Description: The project will provide training to health workers, including doctors, field workers and traditional birth attendants who are currently working with the Rohingya and host communities in Cox`s Bazaar, to ensure that they gain the necessary knowledge and skills to recognise and respond to the SRHR of women.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Identify training and development needs within organisation through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with human resources departments;
∎ Design and expand training and development programmes based on the needs of the organisation and the individual;
∎ Consider the costs of planned programmes and keep within budgets;
∎ Identify staff training needs beyond specific project requirements in coordination with project/units based on both the organization's and the individual's needs.
∎ Evaluate effectiveness of the competence of instruction, the content of training and training materials used.
∎ Develop effective induction programmes for new staff as well.
∎ Monitor and review the progress of trainees through questionnaires and discussions with managers.
∎ Produce training materials for in-house courses.
∎ Manage the delivery of training and development programmes.
∎ Evaluate training and development programmes.
∎ Keep up to date with developments in training by reading relevant journals/gazettes/literatures, going to meetings and attending relevant courses.
∎ Research new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning and present this research.
∎ Develop training schedules, plans, budget, materials, tools, guidelines and modules.
∎ Communicate with training participants.
∎ Design and facilitate training, workshop and seminar as per projects and organisational need.
∎ Evaluate learning outcome and impact of the training and capacity building initiatives.
∎ Assist Training Coordinator in coordination with technical resource persons.
∎ Assist the Training Coordinator in preparing reports.
∎ Maintain and preserve all training related documents.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Atleast 4 years' experience in NGO or development sector.
∎ Skills in TNA and developing module and curriculum.
∎ Strong organizing, coordinating and facilitation skills.
∎ Strong communication (both Bangla & English), analytical and interpersonal skills.
∎ Sound knowledge of Training and Development programme.
∎ Should skills in coaching and motivation.
∎ Good Leadership skills.
∎ Strong computer skill in MS Windows and MS Office.
Salary: Tk. 40000 (Monthly)
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Commensurate with experience and BLAST's pay scale;
∎ Costs in relation to field work, will be borne by the organisation.
