∎ Preference will be given to candidates having prior working experience in the project area and experience of:
∎ Supervision and Monitoring of community shelter maintenance/ repairing activities and damaged house repairing activities or similar activities.
∎ Good community mobilizing, consultation and session facilitation skills.
∎ Coordination and maintain liaison with communities, vendors/contractors and local stakeholders.
∎ Short term (at least 6 months) working experience in field for any National/International NGO.
∎ Core competencies
∎ Skills in Community Consultation.
∎ Skills in vendor’s/contractor’s work supervision and process facilitation.
∎ Effective Problem solver.
∎ Good verbal and written communication skills in local language and Bengali.
∎ Ability to work remotely in the field.
∎ Good understanding on issues related to gender equity and protection.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Will be responsible for supporting the two Field Facilitators for implementation of union level activities in assigned two unions specially community shelter maintenance/repairing activities and damaged house repairing activities with the guidance from Project Officer (Technical).
∎ S/he will be responsible for day-to-day supervision and monitoring of community shelter maintenance/repairing activities and damaged house repairing activities.
∎ S/he will be responsible for day-to-day progress reporting to the FFs/PO for community shelter maintenance/repairing activities and damaged house repairing activities.
∎ S/he will be responsible for other activities in assigned two unions as needed and instructed by the FFs/PO.
∎ The Shelter Supervisor will report to the Project Officer.
∎ Job Location: Sunamganj and Netrakona District
∎ Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) invite applications for the on going SHOUHARDO III DRR Activity, in partnership with CARE Bangladesh and funding support of USAID. The goal of the activity is to “Foster locallyled, gender inclusive and policy in formed community resilience in Bangladesh,with particular focuson the most vulnerable and flood-prone areas of Bangladesh". DAM is implementing the SHOUHARDO III DRR Activity in Sunamganj (Taherpur & Dowara bazar Upazillas) and Netrokona (Madan & KhaliajhuriUpazillas) district supported by CARE Bangladesh from November 2023.
∎ Employment Status: Contractual Initial contract upto January-February 2025
