∎ 3 years of work experience in managing/leading multi-sectorial health programs in an international organization as a Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Focal Point in a Rajshahi context. Previous experience in USAID projects is encouraged.
∎ Age at most 35 years but age flexible for highly qualified candidates.
∎ Have valid driving license and willingness to drive motorcycle.
∎ Report against accountability-related indicators and issues.
∎ Female candidates are specially encourage to apply.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Rajshahi District (Rajshahi City Corporation, Bagmara, Tanore and Mohanpur Upazilas) frequently conducts field visits to the project areas in Bangladesh.
∎ Major Responsibilities:
∎ 1. Planning
∎ Integrate gender equity and social inclusion issues into the project.
∎ Ensure the integration of GESI approaches into project planning and policy formulation.
∎ Develop gender equity and inclusion action plans for the project.
∎ 2. Training and Capacity Building
∎ Conduct gender equity and inclusion training for staff.
∎ Raise awareness of GESI among local partners and communities.
∎ Training and Capacity Building Develop training materials.
∎ Conduct meeting/workshops on gender sensitivity, safeguarding, and related topics for staff and communities.
∎ Support capacity-building initiatives to empower staff and stakeholders in implementing gender-equitable and safe practices.
∎ 3. Implementation Support
∎ Advise the team on implementing GESI-sensitive activities.
∎ Incorporate the needs and benefits of marginalized and vulnerable groups into the project.
∎ Ensure the participation of women and marginalized groups at every stage of the project.
∎ 4. Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)
∎ Develop and monitor GESI-related indicators.
∎ Analyse gender and inclusion impacts on project progress.
∎ Prepare regular reports and provide learning information.
∎ Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Develop and monitor gender and safeguarding indicators and provide regular reports on progress and challenges.
∎ 5. Advocacy and Collaboration
∎ Advocacy with policy makers and stakeholders on gender equity and social inclusion.

∎ Identify challenges related to gender and social inclusion and take initiatives to address them.

∎ Coordination Liaise with other like-minded organisations local LEBs and government officials to ensure gender equity & sensitivity.
∎ Ensure safeguarding and gender mainstreaming efforts.
∎ Represent the organisation in forums and networks focused on gender equity, women's rights, safeguarding and protection.
∎ Conduct field visits to ensure gender and safeguarding policies are effectively implemented.
∎ Regularly update staff on safeguarding standards, reporting mechanisms, and gender mainstreaming approaches.

∎ Position Overview
∎ The Gender Equality and Social Inclusion will oversee the gender equality and sensitivity of the “Sushastho Maitree Project” areas at Rajshahi District, maintain effective gender equity and ender safeguarding policy. Providing capacity building training, prepared case study, monitor gender and safeguarding indicators, Design and facilitate safeguarding awareness campaigns maintaining as per the organizational policies. Undertake any other tasks given by BEDO Management.

The project aims to improve the health and well-being of marginalized and underserved populations in urban and peri-urban areas of the Rajshahi district. This initiative is supported by BRAC under the USAID Bangladesh America Maitree Project.
