∎ Knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, Mikrotik, Huawei, Fortinet devices.

∎ Security:
∎ Firewall configuration, IDS/IPS, SIEM, DDOS mitigation.

∎ Cloud & Virtualization:
∎ AWS, Azure, VMware, OpenStack, Hyper-V.
∎
∎ Scripting:
∎ Python, Bash, Ansible, PowerShell (for automation).
∎
∎ Soft Skills:

∎ Preferred Certifications (Not Mandatory):
∎ CCNP, JNCIA/JNCIS, RHCSA/RHCE, MCSE, AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, servers, and systems to ensure 99.99% uptime.
∎ Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and servers to optimize performance.
∎ Diagnose and resolve network outages, hardware failures, and system issues efficiently.
∎ Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents and implement preventive measures.
∎ Proactively monitor network performance, bandwidth usage, and security events using NMS tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds).
∎ Respond to alerts, escalations, and customer complaints in a timely manner.
∎ Collaborate with different teams to resolve Level 1, 2, and 3 incidents.
∎ Maintain incident logs and generate reports for management.
∎ Implement firewall policies, VPN configurations, and security measures to prevent cyber threats.
∎ Work on network automation, scripting (Bash, Python), and system optimization.
∎ Manage cloud-based systems (AWS, Azure) and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).
∎ Ensure smooth operation of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and other ISP core technologies.
∎ Manage IP address allocation, DNS, and DHCP services.
∎ Troubleshoot customer connectivity issues (Fiber, Wireless, GPON, DSL, etc.).
∎ Work with upstream providers and IXPs for traffic optimization.
∎ Create and maintain network diagrams, system documentation, and SOPs.
∎ Follow ITIL, ISO, and security best practices for compliance.
∎ Train and mentor junior engineers and NOC team members.
