Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Urban and Regional planning, Disaster Management, Development Studies, Statistics, Sociology or any other relevant field from any recognized University

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Site Management Support
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Undertake the leading role in development and implementation of DRR strategy in consultation with CIC, communities and other camp actors
∎ Make contingency plan related to cyclone, flood, landslide and fire using participatory methods in consultation with communities
∎ Undertake disaster risk vulnerability mapping in the camps that BRAC have site management mandate, and share findings with relevant sector leads as well as advice on preparedness actions
∎ Undertake management and training of SUVs and ensure required tools and equipment
∎ Ensure regular drills at the camp level in coordination with the fire department, CPP and the CIC
∎ Keep updated the list of all volunteer groups in the camp
∎ Arrange training for capacity building of various sectors within BRAC on DRR
∎ Attend and represent BRAC in sectorial coordination meetings both at Cox's Bazar and at the camp level
∎ Prepare periodic reports
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation
∎ Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 18 years
∎ At least two year of work experience in emergency set up or development in NGO sector
∎ Good communication skills, capacity to work and mobilize communities and problem solving skills
∎ Ability to work with people of various backgrounds, culture and religions
∎ Some knowledge and understanding of gender and participation issues as a plus
∎ Team player is essential
∎ Has a leadership ability to identify needs and resolved problems at camp level
∎ Experienced to facilitate, organize, and mobilize community
∎ An ability to help and engage community
∎ An ability to identify capacity-building needs among communities (e.g. leadership skills, networking and partnership-building skills)
∎ Good understanding of Rohingya context and can communicate to local language
∎ Work in a team and flexible
∎ Problem solver
∎ Critical Thinking
∎ Able to communicate issues
∎ Knowledgeable of Rohingya context
∎ Adhere to Brac core values
