Job Responsibilities:
∎ The SENIOR PROGRAMME OFFICER- BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP & ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT, as the member of wider Economic Justice & resilience Program's team, is responsible for ensuring implementation to improve the dairy sector and promoting sustainable energy use in Bangladesh in consultation with Private sector engagement and Enterprise development coordinator to provide support for development of green dairy enterprises.
∎ Provide support to all the projects under the Economic Justice & Resilience theme to undertake activities related to enterprise development and private sector engagement in line with 'Oxfam One Program' approach to contribute to 'Oxfam in Bangladesh Program'.
∎ S/he is responsible to supervise, monitor project, support dairy producer organizations and small enterprises to create opportunities for women's economic leadership to become viable businesses, compete in their markets, and form long-term business relationships, while also promoting broader changes in the economic, political and social environment where these enterprises operate and ensure quality implementation of the project.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 5 years experience on dairy sub sector with proven track record of working with the high performance teams or experiences on economic development project management and implementation and at least 3 years work experience with rural MSEs and value chain development project;
∎ Knowledge and work experience on gender sensitiveness project, gender diversity, RCA and DRR programming for smallholder and women producers;
∎ Knowledge and experience of small and micro dairy farming system in river island areas of Bangladesh;
∎ Knowledge and experience of renewable energy production on dairy farms;
∎ Proven knowledge and experiences to indentify the key advocacy issues and strategies for pro poor and gender equitable market & enterprise policy development in dairy sub-sector;
∎ Knowledge on market, value chain system and role of private sectors in development specially growing importance of micro and small enterprise & entrepreneurship development;
∎ Experience on partnership development among the stakeholder, nurturing and management and alliance building and maintenance across the dairy sub sector and agriculture sector.
∎ Experience in negotiating with the Private Sector, especially green financing institutions, would be an asset;
∎ Strong knowledge on markets, enterprise development, business plan and management, financial analysis, income statements and cash-flows.
∎ Good understanding on market structure, sub-sector analysis and value chain promotion
∎ Working experience with private and public sectors to build the capacity and link with smallholder producers organization and small enterprises;
∎ An ability and willingness to work towards deadlines in a planned and inclusive way;
∎ Demonstrable communication, facilitation and representation skills (in English and local language preferably).
∎ Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to cultural differences and gender issues, as well as the commitment to equal opportunities
∎ Ability to demonstrate an openness and willingness to learn about the application of gender/gender mainstreaming, women's rights, and diversity for all aspects of development work
∎ Commitment to Oxfam's safeguarding policies to ensure all people who come into contact with Oxfam are as safe as possible
Salary:
∎ BDT. 10,56,451 gross per annum (13th months)
