• Master’s (preferably PhD) in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, or a related field

• Age At least 35 years

• The selected candidate must stay in Cox’s Bazar for the duration of the assignment.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in gender-focused projects.

• Experience in gender analysis, training facilitation, and working with women and marginalized groups.

• Strong communication, facilitation, and documentation skills (Bangla & English).

• Skilled in MS Office and digital data collection tools (Kobo, ODK, Survey Solutions).

About the Project:

Promoting Gender Equality and Social Inclusion in Schools Building on What Children Value and Aspire to Do and Be (GESI) project aims to create school environments where children are taught and experience gender equality and social inclusion and actively contribute to shaping these values. It will focus on what children value as essential to living a good life and their ability to do and be, also referred to as children’s valued capabilities.

Role Summary:

The Gender Specialist will support the project to strengthen gender equality and social inclusion in public schools. The role includes conducting gender analysis, guiding implementation of gender-responsive activities, and building the capacity of staff, teachers, and stakeholders to promote inclusive learning environments for girls, women, and marginalized groups.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct gender analysis and provide evidence-based recommendations.
• Lead capacity-building sessions on gender equality and safeguarding.
• Support project teams and school stakeholders to integrate gender-responsive practices.
• Engage women, adolescent girls, and disadvantaged groups through community activities.
• Support research, assessments, and documentation of gender-related findings.
• Produce concise policy briefs, documentation, and learning reports.

• This is a contractual assignment for a duration of 20 days, with a total contract value of 2,00,000 Taka (inclusive of all VAT and taxes).

• VAT & Tax will be deducted as per Government policy.
