Skills Required: Additional Requirements: Responsibilities & Context: Responsibilities related to Rehabilitation:
- Ensure the regular follow-up of ex- CRP patients for their successful rehabilitation in the community,
- Arrange awareness raising events, sessions, campaigns in coordination with other relevant CRP departments/community/projects/government/non-government national and international bodies,
- Conduct and arrange home visits,
- Determine the patients' eligibility and need for and nature of rehabilitation services,
- Assist in developing comprehensive individual rehabilitation plans for patients,
- Ensure continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge,
- Arrange and/or provide assistive equipment/devices as decided,
- Develop community referral sources for rendering services to patients,
- Coordinate with other teams to establish methods by which educational, social, medical, psychological and vocational data is to be obtained from patients, family and community programs and subsequently preserving relevant data related to services and patients,
- Closely working with the community in establishing facilities and programs to assist people with disability,
- Work and assist with other healthcare professionals i.e. physicians, therapists and counselors as and when required,
Responsibilities related to Social Welfare & Counseling:
- Ensure the timely support through Social Welfare Department for really deserving patients following proper assessments,
- Maintain all relevant documents and reports regarding the support readily available so that those can be shared as required and asked,
- Arrange necessary counseling for socio-economical reintegration of patients in the community,
- Arrange and facilitate necessary and timely supports like assistive devices,
- Conduct/arrange counseling events for rehabilitation in the community with the active participation of cross-section of people,
- Conduct peer counseling and care giver training sessions,
Responsibilities related to Sports, Halfway Hostel & Vocational Training:
- Conduct regular ward rounds with other professionals,
- Arrange sports for patients,
- Coordinate with other internal and external relevant departments/bodies in their efforts to organize events focusing/highlighting rehabilitation,
- Ensure the timely implementation of training plans at Vocational Training Institute (VTI),
- Coordinate in developing tailored interventions to assist athletes in preparation for competition and to deal with the psychological demands of the sport,
- Give support in equipping athletes with mental strategies to cope with and overcome setbacks or injuries,
- Facilitate to deliver a variety of group workshops, which may include self-analysis of performance or techniques to develop mental skills within the sport.
Responsibilities related to Project Management:
- Assist in preparing project papers/combined implementation plans or activities in coordination with existing and upcoming projects,
- Ensure consolidated activity plans incorporating weekly, monthly, half-yearly and yearly plans of CRP and projects and share those with all concerned in a timely manner,
- Invite community leaders, beneficiaries, local GOB and elected officials, other NGOs for effective implementation of scheduled activities and objectives,
- Arrange/attend meeting with project staff members in order to facilitate better coordination,
Responsibilities related to Academic Affairs:
- Provide academic supports to CRP as and when required,
- Work as a resource person on disability issues as required,
- Development of necessary manuals/publications as required,
- Render supports to interns as advised,
- Contribute to developing knowledge repository at Rehab. Wing,
Responsibilities related to Administrative Affairs:
- Participate in internal and external meetings as required and asked from time to time,
- Maintain appropriate records including activities plans like rehabilitation and follow up visits, progress reports,
- Documentation of the Multidisciplinary Care Plan and Record,
- Maintain effective coordination and communication with all team members especially those who are working in community levels,
- Maintain effective relationship with physicians, therapists and other relevant departments of CRP and government bodies,
- Obtain necessary approval for cash/budget, equipment, transport, supplies for smooth functioning,
Responsibilities related to Human Resource:
- Oversee performance evaluation process by setting constructive, objective and measurable performance goals,
- Monitor and facilitate the professional growth of staff members at Rehabilitation Wing,
- Ensure timely confirmation, renewal, applicable payments of employees working at the Wing,
- Responsible for conducting staff training and local school teachers' training on disability, rehabilitation, accessibility, stigma, community participation, and human rights issues,
- Along with those, the incumbent is expected to perform any duties and responsibilities as time demands and assigned by the office.
