Experience:
· Previous experience working in the nonprofit sector or with NGOs, preferably in a leadership role.·
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.·
Excellent organizational and project management abilities, with attention to detail and a results-oriented approach.·
Knowledge of GBV, Psychosocial Support (PSS), Engaging Male through Accountability Practice (EMAP) and community mobilization·
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.·
Knowledge of program planning and implementation
Understanding of fundraising strategies and donor relationship management
Familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory frameworks and ethical standards
Proficiency in using in basic computer operation especially MS word, MS Excel and PowerPoint·
Project management, reporting, and communication and budget preparation.·
Proficiency in Chittagonian languages
Job Description:
The Team Leader is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of a team working towards achieving the organization's mission and goals. This role involves managing a group of individuals dedicated to addressing social, humanitarian, environmental, or other relevant issues. The following are key responsibilities associated with this position:
1. Team Management: Provide leadership and guidance to team members, ensuring their effective performance and professional development. Delegate tasks, set clear objectives, and monitor progress to achieve project goals.
2. Project Planning and Implementation: Collaborate with team members to develop project plans, set targets, and define project deliverables. Coordinate and monitor the execution of projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
3. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, such as donors, partner organizations, government agencies, and community members. Engage in effective communication, networking, and collaboration to enhance the organization's impact and support fundraising efforts.
· Program Development: Contribute to the development of program devlopment initiatives aligned with the NGO's mission. Monitor and evaluate program activities, measure outcomes, and identify areas for improvement.
4. Team Support and Capacity Building: Provide support and mentorship to team members, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging their professional growth. Identify training and development opportunities to enhance the team's skills and knowledge.
5. Reporting and Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely reporting on project progress, outcomes, and challenges. Maintain appropriate documentation, records, and data management systems.
6. Advocacy and Representation: Represent the NGO in external meetings, conferences, and events, advocating for the organization's mission, values, and initiatives. Engage in public speaking, media interviews, and other communication activities to raise awareness and mobilize support.
7. Risk Management: Identify and manage program risks, including potential issues that could impact program delivery, quality, or outcomes. Develop risk mitigation plan and contingency plans to minimize risks and ensure program success.
8. Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as internal policies and procedures. Uphold ethical standards, transparency, and accountability within the organization's operations.
9. Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess program performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes and enhancements as needed. Stay informed about emerging trends, innovations, and best practices in the program's field to ensure ongoing improvement and innovation.
10. Commitment to ensure for Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) and Safeguarding, and it refers to a set of principles and measures aimed at preventing and addressing incidents of sexual exploitation and abuse within humanitarian and development organizations. Safeguarding, on the other hand, encompasses a broader concept that includes the protection of all individuals, including children and vulnerable populations, from harm, abuse, or exploitation.
