Job Responsibilities:
Provide basic counseling to staff facing performance-related challenges and ensure non-discrimination throughout employment, including the provision of wages, salaries, benefits, facilities, and welfare.
Oversee daily HR activities as per organizational needs and company policy. Develop and implement a human resources plan, along with personnel management policies and procedures. Formulate and implement factory HR policies in alignment with group HR policies.
Ensure the effective operation of all key HR functions—such as recruitment, succession planning, employee development, leave management, payroll, benefits, performance management, and employee separation—to facilitate successful implementation and execution of HR management practices.
Review workers' personal files, maternity records, and disciplinary action files for non-compliance issues. Address compliance matters in line with local laws and the buyer's Code of Conduct, ensuring continuous compliance with buyer requirements and auditor standards.
Monitor, evaluate, and update internal training programs while exploring external trainers and training organizations to enhance employee capacity development. Initiate learning and development activities aimed at improving skills and competencies for subordinates and other employees within the organization.
Possess a thorough understanding of Bangladesh's labor laws, factory regulations, buyer (IKEA, JYSK, H&M, Lidl, KiK etc) Codes of Conduct (CoC), and other national and international legal frameworks. Monitor compliance with certification standards such as BSCI, ISO, SEDEX, OKOTEX, LEED, GRS, RCS and manage the various audits associated with these requirements.
Assist in the development of compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with labor laws, local regulations, and ensure their effective implementation.
Organize various training and development activities to fulfill compliance requirements.
Manage recruitment and selection, payroll, and training and development activities for factory workers and supervisory staff.
Handle employee discipline, grievances, motivation, and welfare activities.
Create and define job descriptions, establish Key Result Areas (KRAs), and set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to implement a performance management system that aligns with organizational goals.
Foster and maintain strong relationships with government and non-government organizations to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of organizational operations.
Oversee the updating of all documentation and manage legal matters. Provide daily reports to the Unit Administrator, HR Manager.
