• Manage the complete merchandising cycle from order confirmation to final shipment, ensuring timely execution and alignment with buyer requirements.
• Act as the primary liaison between buyers and internal departments (design, production, quality control) to ensure accurate product execution and timely communication.
• Coordinate closely with design and development teams to create samples that meet buyer specifications, offering insights to enhance design and align with current market trends.
• Track and monitor order progress, maintaining updated Time & Action (T&A) calendars and proactively communicating status updates to all stakeholders.
• Source and coordinate with fabric, trims, and accessory suppliers to ensure timely material delivery, negotiating cost-effective terms and maintaining quality standards.
• Ensure timely receipt of all necessary approvals, including samples, trims, fabrics, prints, and embroidery, to avoid production delays.
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure all garments meet buyer quality standards; resolve quality or production issues promptly.
• Maintain and manage comprehensive merchandising documentation, including purchase orders, consumption sheets, costing files, delivery schedules, and inspection reports.
• Communicate regularly with clients regarding product development, approvals, pricing, and shipment updates, building strong long-term business relationships.
• Support marketing and product development initiatives to attract new buyers and generate additional orders from existing clients.
• Monitor production status, identify potential delays or issues, and coordinate solutions with relevant departments to ensure on-time delivery.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior merchandisers, ensuring effective task delegation and professional development.
• Stay updated on global fashion and textile market trends, buyer preferences, and competitor activities to offer innovative product ideas and improve customer satisfaction.
• Provide regular performance updates, order status reports, and risk assessments to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
