Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum Graduate; Textile Degree is preferred
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 12 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Review and approve samples, such as style, construction, workmanship and quality, measurement to ensure that they meet product specifications
∎ Provide technical advice and support to factories, customers, merchandising team and technical team
∎ Identify and resolve sample issues such as workmanship and measurements, etc
∎ Evaluate if there are any safety and functional issues and advice corrective solutions
∎ Follow established processes and protocols and maintain strong partnership with resources
∎ In charge of Proto, Fit, PP and all the other samples approval
∎ Work with US, EU customers on the sample/PPW clarification
∎ Recommend the process simplification & cost saving alternative options to the buyer
∎ Proven ability to prepare proposals with blend of focused research, strategy and creativity
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 12 years' including team leading experience, ideally in multinational Buying/ Sourcing/ Liaison office
∎ Able to make / suggest pattern corrections based on the fits
∎ Sound knowledge on CAD / Manual pattern making
∎ Should have good product and material knowledge in respective product category i.e. Denim / Non-Denim (Woven), Cut & Sew Knits; Sweaters knowledge is an added advantage
∎ Having knowledge on Kids safety standard for US customers is a plus
∎ Experienced on how to do fit approval, pattern experience is preferred
∎ Should have the technical knowledge to handle all fabrics blends with fancy styles
∎ Must have worked for reputed American customers (especially young men and women)
∎ Candidate should have excellent communication skills to handle customers independently (like video conference, Teleconference and mails etc.)
∎ Should be a team player and involve from product development stage to work on risk analysis and suggest suitable precautions for smooth execution of bulk orders
∎ Sound Managerial Skill with training ability
∎ Sharp Technical Knowledge (Fitting/Construction/Measurement/Workmanship/Safety/Production/ etc..)
∎ Product Engineering (Knowledge of Fabrication and behavior, Knowledge of Machinery, foresee production difficulty during initial sample stage and propose alternative options).
∎ Sweater Knowledge will be an advantage.
∎ Highly efficient in project management, prioritization, multi-tasking and time management skills to meet deadlines
