Job Summary:

The Senior Manager / Manager, Quality (Seamless) is responsible for leading end-to-end quality assurance for seamless garment operations. The role ensures product quality from development to shipment, drives right-first-time performance, manages buyer compliance, and builds a strong quality culture across knitting, dyeing, finishing, and packing. The position plays a key role in defect reduction, process control, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and implement the seamless quality strategy aligned with company and buyer requirements.

  • Lead the quality team across inline, end-line, and final inspection functions.

  • Establish quality KPIs and monitor performance to achieve RFT and DHU targets.

  • Drive a proactive quality culture across production floors.

Process & Product Quality Control

  • Ensure robust quality control throughout seamless knitting, dyeing, finishing, and packing.

  • Monitor critical process parameters and implement preventive quality controls.

  • Approve pilot runs, size sets, and pre-production samples.

  • Ensure compliance with buyer technical packs and workmanship standards.

  • Oversee shade, measurement, appearance, and functional quality.

Inspection Management

  • Supervise inline, end-line, and final inspections to ensure shipment readiness.

  • Ensure AQL compliance and buyer inspection requirements.

  • Analyze inspection data and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

  • Reduce defects through root cause analysis and continuous improvement.

Customer & Compliance Management

  • Liaise with buyers and third-party inspectors regarding quality matters.

  • Handle customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.

  • Ensure compliance with buyer manuals and international quality standards.

  • Support technical and quality audits as required.

Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop the seamless quality team.

  • Conduct regular training on defect recognition and quality standards.

  • Build capability of line quality controllers and auditors.

  • Drive accountability and performance management within the team.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Monitor DHU, RFT, rejection rates, and customer claims.

  • Prepare weekly/monthly quality dashboards for management.

  • Use data analytics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

  • Implement digital quality tools where applicable.
