Experience:

• Educational qualification and age may be relaxed for highly potential candidates.

• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in a reputed fabric manufacturing company, including at least 8 years in a managerial role. Experience in a foreign organization will be considered an added advantage.

• The candidate should have strong technical proficiency in woven fabric R&D, with the ability to translate global fashion trends into commercially viable fabric developments.

Technical Manager (Fabric R&D)

Major duties and responsibilities:

• Design and development of new woven fabrics, finishes, and textures based on market and buyer requirements.

• Develop innovative woven fabric structures through variation in yarn composition, weaving techniques, and construction to enhance performance, appearance, and functionality.

• Develop complementary qualities of existing fabrics by adjusting yarn composition, fabric construction, GSM, and finishing processes to offer extended performance while retaining the base fabric identity.

• Create wash-based product variations using the same base fabric.

• Optimize and commercialize products through cost-effective solutions.

• Troubleshoot technical issues during dyeing, weaving, or finishing stages.

• Drive eco-friendly fabric innovations (i.e. organic cotton, recycled fibers, waterless dyeing, chemical free finishing).

• Explore digital fabric development tools and smart textile technologies.

• Work directly with buyers, designers, and sourcing teams to understand requirements.

• Lead the R&D team and train them on new fabric technologies, testing methods, and innovation practices.

Work Station: Square Apparels Ltd. – Factory located at Bhaluka, Mymensingh.
