Responsibilities & Context:
We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Officer – Internal Audit to support field audits, investigations, compliance reviews, and internal control assessments across sales territories, depots, distributors, dealers, and retail markets. The role will focus on identifying operational and financial irregularities, ensuring policy compliance, and providing practical recommendations to strengthen internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with company SOPs, internal controls, Delegation of Authority (DOA), and applicable regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular and surprise field audits across sales territories, depots, distributors, dealers, and retail markets.
Verify customer existence, outstanding balances, payment status, and market feedback through direct customer visits.
Identify and investigate fraud, embezzlement, misappropriation, fake customer accounts, forged signatures, unauthorized discounts, and other unethical practices.
Conduct investigations into complaints, financial irregularities, product diversion, and operational misconduct and prepare evidence-based reports.
Verify physical inventory, customer balances, cash collections, and product movements to identify discrepancies and irregularities.
Review invoices, delivery challans, money receipts, ledger books, expense claims, approval records, and other supporting documents.
Identify control weaknesses, operational risks, and process gaps and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Monitor product distribution, promotional activities, market operations, and dealer performance to ensure transparency and accountability.
Prepare accurate audit reports highlighting findings, root causes, risks, financial impacts, and recommendations.
Follow up on audit observations and corrective actions to ensure timely implementation.
Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Accounts, Supply Chain, HR, and other departments during audit assignments.
Maintain confidentiality, integrity, professionalism, and independence throughout all audit activities.
Perform other audit, investigation, and special assignments as directed by management.
