Primary Responsibilities

• Assist in performing microbiological lab testing according to approved methods and SOPs.

Specific Responsibilities

• Support microbiological testing of food, beverages, water, environmental and swab samples.

• Receive samples, take photographs, and maintain sample records in logbooks and systems.

• Prepare and maintain culture media, reagents and microbial cultures.

• Conduct Growth Promotion Tests (GPT) for new culture media.

• Prepare and review raw data sheets and final test records

• Assist in method validation, verification and measurement uncertainty studies.

• Maintain daily calibration and verification records of laboratory equipment.

• Review and update laboratory logbooks on a daily basis.

• Maintain laboratory housekeeping, biosafety and quality system requirements.
