• Willingness to travel to factories, buyers, and overseas (if required).

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.

1. Lead the end-to-end product development process for knit garments from concept to pre-production.

2. Manage product development activities to ensure timely sample submission and buyer approval.

3. Coordinate with Merchandising, Design, Fabric, Sampling, Production, QA, and IE teams to ensure smooth product development.

4. Review buyer tech packs and convert design concepts into commercially viable products.

5. Drive innovation by introducing new fabrics, garment constructions, washes, prints, and embellishment techniques.

6. Ensure all development samples meet buyer specifications, quality standards, fit, and workmanship requirements.

7. Optimise product costing through value engineering without compromising quality and buyer expectations.

8. Monitor development timelines and resolve technical issues to meet critical path requirements.

9. Maintain effective communication with buyers regarding product development, sample feedback, and technical clarifications.

10. Lead, mentor, and develop the Product Development Centre (PDC) team to achieve departmental objectives.

11. Collaborate with sourcing teams to identify suitable fabrics, trims, and accessories for new developments.

12. Ensure seamless handover of approved products to bulk production with complete technical information.

13. Analyse market trends and buyer requirements to develop innovative and competitive products.

14. Prepare and present development progress, sample status, and performance reports to management.

15. Ensure compliance with company policies, buyer requirements, and industry best practices throughout the product development process.
