The Denim Washing Unit`s Senior Manager will oversee and manage all operations within the Denim washing department. The role requires a strategic thinker with deep knowledge of Denim washing techniques, fabric care, chemical processes, and quality control to ensure optimal production output. The Senior Manager will lead the team, manage production schedules, ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards, and drive continuous improvement in efficiency and innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Team Management: Lead, supervise, and mentor the Denim washing team, including shift supervisors, operators, and technicians. Develop team skills through continuous training and professional development programs. Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability within the unit.

• Production Management: Plan, organize, and oversee daily washing production schedules to meet quality and delivery targets. Ensure efficient use of resources and production capacity to minimize downtime and optimize productivity. Coordinate closely with other departments (e.g., procurement, quality control, design, and logistics) to ensure smooth operation and timely delivery.

• Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements in washing techniques, chemical usage, water consumption, and energy efficiency. Regularly review and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the washing unit. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure that goals related to quality, cost, and output are met.

• Quality Control: Ensure that all washing processes meet the required quality standards for color consistency, durability, and feel. Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to identify and resolve quality issues in production. Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain high standards. The candidate should have quality control certificate ISO 9001 14001 18001

• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all operations comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations and company policies. Manage chemical storage, handling, and disposal to comply with local and international environmental regulations. Lead safety initiatives and conduct regular safety audits and training for employees.

• Innovation & Research: Stay updated with the latest trends in denim washing technologies and techniques. Collaborate with designers and R&D to experiment with new washes, finishes, and sustainable practices. Lead efforts to incorporate eco-friendly washing techniques, reducing water usage and chemical waste.
