A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in Database Administration in large environments.

Strong experience with MySQL, Postgres SQL, Oracle, and MS SQL.

Strong knowledge of security access to the database and tracking unauthorized changes.

Strong SQL and data model optimization abilities

Strong knowledge of High Availability and Disaster Recovery concepts (i.e. Replication, Cluster, DC-DR)

The senior/lead Database Administrator position entails playing a pivotal role in our team, responsible for provisioning, deploying, and ensuring the secure day-to-day operations and maintenance of our diverse service offerings, both on-premises and in the cloud. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain the organization’s database systems, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Lead database architecture planning and design efforts, including capacity planning, data modeling, and database schema optimization.

• Develop and implement database security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive data and comply with regulatory requirements.

• Perform database performance tuning and optimization activities to maximize system efficiency and responsiveness.

• Manage database backups, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions to minimize downtime and data loss.

• Lead troubleshooting efforts to identify and resolve database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, data corruption, and system failures.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support database-related projects and initiatives, providing technical expertise and guidance as needed.

• Mentor and guide DBAs, fostering their professional growth and development.

• Stay abreast of emerging database technologies, trends, and best practices, and evaluate their potential impact on the organization’s database environment.
