Responsibilities & Context:

Costing & Development:

  • Analyze garment sketches or samples to prepare operation breakdowns and determine SAM (Standard Allowed Minutes) for all types of knit products.
  • Incorporate best practices and latest technologies when preparing operation bulletins.
  • Calculate thread consumption and validate cost parameters for new developments.
  • Propose design-to-cost ideas to the Garment Technologist and Costing teams to achieve target prices during the development stage.
  • Utilize historical data to collaborate with operation units for SAM optimization in upcoming seasons.
  • Ensure all style developments consider process optimization, cost efficiency, and manufacturability.

Production & Industrial Engineering:

  • Provide coaching and technical support to operation units to ensure team engagement and performance improvement.
  • Collect and analyze production data (efficiency, SAM, cutting wastage) to drive productivity enhancement and process optimization.
  • Track and document improvement initiatives, ensuring implementation in current and future production cycles.
  • Plan and oversee all aspects of Industrial Engineering activities within the factory.
  • Implement and sustain effective work methods, systems, and best practices to improve productivity and facilitate smooth production flow.
  • Advise on the use of guides, templates, and jigs to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Design and evaluate Quick Changeover layouts before releasing them for production use.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and resolve technical issues raised by factory IE teams.
  • Monitor production parameters to maintain workflow stability and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct production capacity and efficiency studies to identify opportunities for performance enhancement.
  • Evaluate operator performance and support skill matrix development.
  • Motivate and guide operators to achieve daily production and quality targets.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by management related to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
