Since 2001, we have been committed to empowering the most disadvantaged populations, including persons with disabilities, vulnerable women, children, and youth. Our work spans across health (free cleft/cataract surgeries), special education, livelihood support, humanitarian aid (including for Rohingya refugees), and climate resilience. As we embark on an ambitious journey to expand our impact with plans to build a specialized hospital, an orphanage for children with disabilities, and a modern vocational training center we are looking for a passionate and skilled professional to join our dynamic team.
Job Summary:
The Relationship Officer (Partnership and Communication) is a key strategic role responsible for building and nurturing strong relationships with national and international donors, partners, and sponsors. He/She will be the primary focal point for partnership development and management, donor communication, responsible for showcasing DDEF’s impact through compelling content and securing the resources needed to drive our mission forward. This role is perfect for a master storyteller and a natural networker with a passion for social change.
Job Location: Dhaka (with frequent travel to project locations across Bangladesh)
Key Responsibilities:
Partnership Development and Management: Proactively maintain communication with national and international NGOs, private sectors, Govt. sectors and different alliances to develop and maintain partnership with DDEF.
Donor Relationship Management: Proactively manage and cultivate relationships with existing and potential institutional, foundations, and corporate donors. Schedule and facilitate regular donor visits and meetings.
Content Creation & Storytelling: Develop high-quality and impactful communication materials, including video documentaries, photo stories, case studies, newsletters, and social media content, to effectively communicate the impact of DDEF’s work. Also handle the DDEF social media page.
Sponsorship Program Management: Design and manage sponsorship campaigns for specific programs (e.g., child sponsorship for our special school, funding for wheelchairs or surgeries).
Proposal & Report Support: Collaborate with the fundraising team to provide compelling narratives and content for project proposals and donor reports. At least 5 donor organizations must be visited or contacted per month. On average, proposals must be submitted to 5-10 organizations per month seeking assistance. At least one fund must be raised in the first 2 months. Must be able to create projects or concept notes yourself.
Digital Communication: Manage and grow DDEF’s online presence through our website and social media channels.
Networking and Representation: Represent DDEF at meetings, workshops, and networking events to build partnerships and enhance the organization's visibility.
Salary: An attractive consolidated salary ranging from BDT 22,000 to 28,000 per month, based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
