Experience:
Diploma in Engineering Food Technology with B.Sc. in Food Technology, Food Engineering, Microbiology, or related Fields.
The QC experience must be in frozen food, processed meat, or a similar FMCG sector.
Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, or BRC standards.
Proficient in MS Office and QC testing equipment.
Good communication and reporting skills.
Detail-oriented with problem-solving abilities.
Work in chilled or frozen production areas when required.
Flexible to work in shifts, weekends, or extended hours during peak production.
The Quality Control Officer / Executive will ensure that all frozen food and processed meat products meet the required safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This role involves monitoring production processes, conducting inspections, testing raw materials and finished goods, and maintaining documentation in compliance with food safety management systems (e.g., HALAL, HACCP, ISO 22000, BRC).
1. Quality Inspection & Monitoring
Inspect raw materials (meat, additives, packaging) for compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Monitor processing stages, freezing, and storage conditions to ensure compliance with SOPs.
Conduct sensory evaluation (appearance, taste, texture) of products.
2. Testing & Analysis
Perform microbiological, physical, and chemical tests on raw and finished products.
Verify product weight, temperature, and labelling accuracy.
Maintain calibration and proper use of QC instruments.
3. Food Safety Compliance
Ensure adherence to HALAL, GMP, HACCP, ISO, and other relevant food safety certifications.
Identify deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Assist in internal audits and external regulatory inspections.
4. Documentation & Reporting
Record inspection results, batch reports, and non-conformance reports.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly QC reports for management review.
Maintain proper filing of QC records for traceability.
5. Training & Continuous Improvement
Train production staff on quality and hygiene practices.
Recommend process improvements to reduce defects and improve product consistency.
Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes.
