Job Context:
∎ The purpose of this role is to ensure that a large number of tablets are functioning at field level as ‘Education Tool’ for alternative learning approach for Rohingya and host community children. S/he will be responsible for day to day storage, distribution, charging, troubleshooting (both hardware and software), apps contextualization and record keeping of this large number of tablets (approximately 500-1000). The position will also lead the capacity building initiatives for community facilitators and project staffs on safe and effective use of tablets as ‘Education Tool’.

∎ Contract Length: Up to December 31, 2019 (with possibility of Extension subject to funding, program needs and performance of incumbent)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manage and care a large number of tablets with software upgradation
∎ Community facilitator’s capacity building on how to use tablet as education tool for technology based education project’s activities
∎ Regular support to Learning Facilitators/Community Volunteers at field level for tablet related trouble shooting
∎ Ensure regular tablet distribution and storing again with power back-up
∎ Ensure all end-user equipment is kept up to date with android OS and feature upgrades
∎ Ability to read/understand/operate service manual, maps and tablet
∎ Remote/over phone troubleshooting and application support
∎ Identify field related challenges/gaps and develop alternative plan/s to mitigate the challenges/gaps
∎ Facilitate ‘Learning Sharing’ event; meeting; workshop about technology based education.
∎ Coordination between program and operation team to ensure logistic (IT) support at field level
∎ Compile participatory feedback from stakeholders (i.e. children, parents, community leaders) about technology based education and submit to management for future action
∎ Any other relevant tasks assigned by management
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 24 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 1 year of working experience in ICT in Education/Education Software Development/ Technology Based Education/E-learning Materials Development with national/international organization
∎ Software contextualization and troubleshooting (both software and hardware)
∎ IT skills using tablet as ‘Education Tool’
∎ Strong communication skill with field staff
∎ Interpersonal skills with ability to work independently with minimum support from the team
∎ Deeply familiar with and sensitive towards the Rohingya context: language, customs, etc.
∎ Expertise on MS office (Word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook, etc.) uses
∎ Willingness to work in an environment with limited resources with poor living conditions and in difficult situations
∎ Having ability to remain productive under difficult and high stressed situations
∎ Able to prioritize, respects and adheres to deadlines
∎ Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
∎ Good communication skill both in Bangla and English. Proficiency in Rohingya/Chittagonian language is preferable
Salary: Tk. 48500 (Monthly)
