Educational Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Design intervention strategies and operation plan around solid waste management and recycling Projects in and around the camps.
∎ Support technical inputs on planning, implementation, and monitoring to WFP on their Solid Waste management and recycling projects in Cox's Bazar district.
∎ Documentation of case studies from the field focusing on Disaster Risk Reduction and Solid Waste Management.
∎ Using data and analysis collected from the field, draft fortnightly/monthly project progress report outlining results, outputs, challenges, and plans
∎ Assignments may vary according to project priorities.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the team lead.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 18 years
∎ At least 2 years professional experience of working in areas around Disaster Risk Reduction, Solid Waste Management, Re-cycle and up-cycle of different types of wastes, Good understanding of Environment Impact Assessment.
∎ KNOWLEDGE: BRAC’s values and mission, humanitarian and development sector, local refugee context to identify risks/threats, Basic computer knowledge on MS office applications including Civil engineering software (Essential).
∎ SKILLS: Budgeting, communication, writing, monitoring and supervision, activities implementation.
∎ COMPETENCIES: Facilitating group meetings, managing timelines, oral and written fluency in both Bangla and English, handling critical issues with relevant stakeholders.
