Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assume primary responsibility for the operational and budgetary management of a series of arts-based projects through the end of 2023
∎ Manage and supervise staff and contractors on these projects
∎ Lead project planning and logistics planning with stakeholders, such as the centers that will host all projects
∎ Ensure all types of compliance applicable for the project and position
∎ Program implementation and budget expenditures to ensure the effective use of resources against planned activities and expected outputs
∎ Ensure adequate project monitoring and evaluation systems are in place. This entails overseeing pre and post-project evaluation developed and agreed to by Artolution and BRAC to collect data to demonstrate impact and inform ongoing program design
∎ Compile and prepare required project progress reports, as required by BRAC
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 18 years
∎ The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of five years of experience working within the Rohingya refugee context, specifically managing community-level creative projects (such as educational, creative, arts, culture or extracurricular activities)
∎ Experience working with vulnerable populations, such as refugees and marginalized groups
∎ Strong organizational, management, and leadership skills
∎ Demonstrated ability to establish strong working relationships with various partners and stakeholders, such as NGOs/ UN agencies, administrators, facilitators, and beneficiaries
∎ Knowledge on application of skills development component, monitoring, report writing, presentation preparation, and safeguarding
∎ Knowledge on budget preparation, administration and donor compliance issues
∎ Knowledge on people management, multiculturalism, ethics and supervision
∎ Good interpersonal and team-building skills
∎ Computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel Google Suite
∎ Excellent skills in writing technical and programmatic documents, such as work plans, budgets, reports, and verbal communication skills
∎ Full written and verbal Fluency in Bengali and English. Rohingya and/or Chittagonian preferred but not required
∎ Knowledge of local cultural traditions
∎ Demonstrated ability to think technically, prioritize and meet deadlines in a challenging environment; must be culturally sensitive
∎ Ability to operate in a complex organization, across functions and work on own initiative and collaboratively as part of diverse teams
